Early Fire Design
This was among the initial designs I developed. Initially, I aimed for a rugged look, but as time went on, I shifted towards a more minimalist approach to enhance accessibility for new players. I believe that an excessive number of artistic effects can distract from a player's understanding of the card's function.
First Edition Fire Design
I opted for a design that permits cards to be held more closely together in hand, making it easier to identify their values. Additionally, I modified the bottom ability to implement a more strategic discard mechanism, encouraging players to pay attention to their opponents' actions.
The back of the 1st Edition cards.
The back of the cards plays a crucial role in preventing opponents from being able to see your hand. It required several attempts and iterations to perfect this essential design element. Future editions of the game may introduce changes based on feedback and new ideas.
